The first week of Spring brought Coyote Awareness Week. Coyotes have appeared for me this year as symbolic teachers and pathfinders. I am grateful for daily canine latrans visitations well before first light which continue now as we step into spring.
I joined The Coyote Collective, a part of Project Coyote which honors America’s Song Dogs:
I have a Coyote poem in an anthology that will be released later this spring as well as coyote poetic practices. And I’m lifting up my voice for immigrants and refugees, those being detained or deported unlawfully. We are all indigenous or immigrant or indigenous immigrants, we are all related, and we must stand up for the rights of all people and all sentient beings.
