Summer Solstice Outpost23

“I step out of the ordinary      I can feel my soul ascending        I’m on my way, can’t stop me now….           you can do the same”  – Heather Small  “Proud”*

Waking to Robin song this morning, I hear the goldfinch singing and singing, and have dreamtime and waking memories of time off-grid.  With gratitude for dream fragments of meadowlark, kingbird, swallow, and coyote song from time under the celestials of the Palouse Prairie with Fishtrap Outpost and the Wallowas.  Remembrances of the guidance and wisdom of CMarie Fuhrman, the incredible night sky, each morning frost and ice on my tent with (17F one morning), waking to winnowing of snipes, warbling of meadowlarks at first light, gathering of poets and writers.

In this passage of time, may we hold remembrances of renewed awareness of the flowering light of summer.  May we be fully present in our lives, awakening to each moment, loved one, flower petal, bird song, rain shower. With summer rainbow flags of LGBTQIA Pride, summer storms and rainbows, may we lift up our calling for equity and justice, compassion and care for one another and the earth we call home.

Gratitude enkindles light -
poetry & art for the journey when it is cloudy,
the stars are still shining
